Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Agni Health Inc. ("agni", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use the agni app, the agni calm ordering experience, and this website. It applies whether you are a person living with a gut condition who tracks symptoms in the app, a visitor reading this site, or someone who contacts our support team.

We built agni because a co-founder has lived with reflux for years. That is also why we treat your data the way we would want ours treated: as little as we need, used only to help your gut, never sold.

We collect three kinds of information.

Information you give us.

• Account details such as your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Health information you choose to log: meals and ingredients, symptoms, stool entries (including Bristol Scale ratings), sleep, medications, your gut condition, and notes. You decide what to enter and can stop at any time.
• Messages you send us, including support requests and survey responses.

Information we generate.

• Insights our models produce from your logs, such as ranked triggers, your daily gut score, and weekly summaries.
• Doctor reports you ask us to create, and the short-lived links or QR codes used to share them.

Information we collect automatically.

• Device and usage data such as app version, device type, and crash diagnostics, used to keep the app working.
• Limited, privacy-respecting analytics about how features are used. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.

We do not knowingly collect more sensitive categories than the gut-health information you log to make the app useful to you.

agni can optionally connect to Apple Health (HealthKit). If you turn it on, agni reads only the signals you allow, such as sleep, workouts, steps, and menstrual cycle, to calculate your gut score and add context to your insights. You can disconnect anytime from the Health settings on your device.

This connection is read-only: agni does not write data back to Apple Health. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or data mining, we never sell it, and we do not store it in iCloud. It is protected under this policy like the rest of your health information.

Before agni launches, you can join a waitlist on this website. When you do, we collect your first name, your email address, how you found us (a friend's referral code or campaign tags in the link), and a one-way hash of your IP address. We use the hash only to limit abuse and check for duplicate signups; the waitlist never stores your IP address itself. If you choose to tell us what brings you to agni (GERD, IBS, both, or not sure) and check the consent box beside it, we store that too. It is optional, and we treat it as health information under our Consumer Health Data Policy. We use your first name to greet you in our emails, and anyone who opens your invite link sees it (for example, "Invited by Sam"). To change or remove it, email us.

We use this information to confirm your email, determine your reward from your confirmation order, and email you launch news and your launch offer code. We keep a record of the consent wording you saw and when you agreed, as proof of your consent under Canadian anti-spam law.

The waitlist is stored with Supabase (database hosting) and emails are sent through Resend (email delivery), both in the United States. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops waitlist emails. We delete waitlist records within 12 months after launch unless you create an agni account. To have your waitlist record deleted sooner, email useagnihealth@gmail.com.

This website asks before it uses cookies to measure our ads and how the site is used. If you choose Allow, it loads the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta then learns that your browser visited this website. If you also join the waitlist and confirm your email, we tell Meta that one signup happened, sending a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, your IP address, your browser type, and Meta's own ad-click and browser identifiers. This lets Meta tell us which ads lead to signups and show our ads to people more likely to find agni useful.

We never send Meta your name, the condition you tell us about, or anything you log in the app. Meta handles what it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.

Allow also turns on PostHog, an analytics tool from PostHog, Inc., hosted in the United States. It records which pages of this website you view, how far you scroll, and which buttons such as Join the waitlist you tap, along with your browser type, device, and an approximate location from your IP address. We use it only to learn which pages help people and to improve them. PostHog does not record your screen or what you type, and it never receives anything you log in the app.

If you choose No thanks, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, none of this happens. You can change your choice at any time with Ad choices at the bottom of every page.

We use your information to:

• run the app and your account, and sync your data across devices;
• find your personal triggers, calculate your gut score, and write your weekly summaries;
• generate doctor reports when you request them, and deliver them through expiring links;
• respond to your support requests and tell you about important changes;
• keep agni secure, debug problems, and prevent abuse;
• meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your health logs to serve you ads, and we do not sell them. If we ever want to use your information for something materially different from the above, we will ask first.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the app), your consent (for health data you choose to log, which you can withdraw), our legitimate interests (keeping agni secure and improving it), and compliance with law.

We share personal information only in these limited cases, and never with data brokers:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, such as cloud hosting, error monitoring, email delivery, and, for agni calm, payment and fulfillment. They may use your information only to provide their service to us, and we require them by contract to protect it to at least the same standard set out in this policy.
• People you choose, such as a clinician who opens a doctor report you shared. You control when a report is created and it stops working after 48 hours.
• Legal and safety reasons, when we are required to respond to valid legal process or need to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers, if agni is involved in a merger or acquisition. We would tell you before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.
• Meta, for ad measurement on this website, only if you choose Allow on our cookie notice. See Ads and analytics on this website.
• PostHog, for analytics on this website, only if you choose Allow on our cookie notice. See Ads and analytics on this website.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law, only through the Meta Pixel and only if you choose Allow on our cookie notice.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active so the app can do its job, which depends on history: trigger analysis and scores get better with more of your own data over time.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

We encrypt your information in transit and at rest, restrict access to the few people who need it, and monitor for unauthorized access. Doctor reports are shared through links that expire automatically.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.

Wherever you live, you can access, export, correct, or delete your data from within the app, and you can email us at useagnihealth@gmail.com with any request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Canada (PIPEDA and applicable provincial law).

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, and withdraw consent (which may limit some features). You may also raise a concern with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

California (CCPA and CPRA).

You have the right to know what we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising happens only through the website's Meta Pixel and only after you choose Allow. You can opt out at any time with Ad choices at the bottom of every page, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out. You keep every other right described here.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom.

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

agni is a Canadian company, and our service providers operate mainly in Canada and the United States. If you use agni from outside those countries, your information will be transferred to and processed there. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

agni is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us at useagnihealth@gmail.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as agni grows. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
